It’s that time again. It’s time to bid her ‘See You Soon’ and continue on with my life in America on my own…
After a month full of non stop entertainment, keeping each other company, having countless moments of joy and laughter and even a few tears shed here and there – my Mother is ready to go back to Brazil. I will miss her dearly. More so than she will ever realize.
There will be a void within my heart when she leaves. I won’t have her around. I won’t have a mother around, for yet another year or longer. As tears come down my face right now, sadly having to watch her depart, I bid her See you Later – Mom, I will miss you so much!
This afternoon we were invited to go on a Boat Ride by two Amazing Friends, Pat and Margo.
It was a pleasure getting to know them both as well as to be taken on their Boat and driven around town. What an incredible ride this was! We got to see the beautiful Houses on the Water, the Canal, the big boats docked behind almost every one of those mansions as though that is something clearly so natural for anyone to own in their backyard.
We also stopped and had dinner at “The Cove Restaurant” on the water. My Mother is leaving soon, and I am already starting to miss her and every moment we have spent together.
Here are some of the memories of our wonderful evening together:
After ten years, both my Mother and I learned my cousin was in town, so we headed over to his Hotel to meet him.
This was also the first time I got to visit the infamous Fountaine Bleau in South Beach. Famous for its parties, activities, as well as the choice of many celebrities to stay while they are visiting South Beach – the Fountaine Bleau is an excellent Hotel.
